A wedding invitation used to mean printing, posting, and then phoning people to ask whether they were coming. My free digital wedding invitation replaces all of that with one link: a single page with your date, your events, and a way for guests to reply, sent over WhatsApp instead of the post.
I built this project so a couple can put everything a guest needs on a single page: the date, every event, the venue and directions, photos, and a way to reply. Here is what that looks like in practice.
What Your Guests See
A guest opens your link on their phone. Depending on the template, it may start as a sealed envelope they tap to open. Then they scroll through:
- Your names, a photo, and a live countdown to the day
- The couple and their parents ("Son of… / Daughter of…")
- Each event with its own date, time, and venue — Mehndi, Nikah or Wedding, Reception, or anything you name
- A wedding invitation with map and directions — an embedded map and a Get Directions button for the venue
- A photo gallery and your story
- An RSVP form and a Best Wishes guest book
At the top there are quick-jump buttons, so someone in a hurry can go straight to Directions or RSVP.
What You Get for Free
- A choice of 47 ready-made templates, from classic to modern, light to dark, with or without the envelope opening
- Space for your couple details, parents, multiple events, photos, gallery, and story
- A digital wedding invitation with RSVP built in — guest counts, a message, and Best Wishes from your guests
- A personalised guest invitation link and a wedding invitation with a QR code for each guest, so it opens greeting them by name
- Colours, fonts, backgrounds, and sections you can change to fit your wedding
- A share link that shows a proper title, description, and picture when you send it in a chat
How It Works
- Get in touch and tell me your wedding date and the events you are planning. I set up your account.
- Add your details: names, parents, date, photos, and each event with time, venue, and map.
- Choose a template and adjust the colours, fonts, and sections until it feels like you.
- Preview it the way a guest will see it, then publish.
- Share the wedding invitation link — one link to everyone, or personal links and QR codes to particular guests.
- Watch the replies come in on your dashboard, read the Best Wishes, and export your RSVP list.
Choose an Available Template, Send Your Details
Here's the offer in one line: choose an available template, send us your wedding details, and we'll create your digital wedding invitation free through our launch service.
This is an assisted service, not self-service sign-up — I set up each invitation personally once you get in touch. Here's exactly how that works:
- Choose your template. Browse the 47 available designs and preview any of them live — see the template gallery below, or try the samples directly.
- Send your wedding details. Use the form below, or contact me with your names, date, venue, preferred template, and invitation wording.
- Review your invitation. I'll confirm what your selected template supports, then check the names, dates, timings and venue details in your preview together.
- Share it with your guests. Once it's ready, share the link through WhatsApp, email, or anywhere else.
If you'd rather message directly, send:
"Hi Ashiq, I would like a free wedding invitation using one of your available templates. My wedding date is ____. Please share the available designs."
Prefer a structured form instead? Use the template gallery and enquiry form right below this article.
What "Free" Means Here
I want to be straightforward about this. This is a genuinely free online wedding invitation — a wedding e-invitation with no plans or paywalls in the project. I currently set up each account personally, rather than offering an instant sign-up page. The project is also still under active development and testing, so details continue to be refined. It stays free to use while that continues.
Some optional extras rely on services outside my control. Sending automatic WhatsApp messages, for example, needs an account with a messaging provider, which has its own costs. There is also a free option where the app prepares the WhatsApp message and you press send yourself.
Try a Sample Invitation
I made a sample wedding for a made-up couple, Zara and Ayaan, so you can see everything working with no sign-up and no password:
- Open the sample invitation: [demo link]
- See a personal guest link, which greets the guest by name: [demo link]/g/sample-guest
- View it in a different template by adding
?demo_template=and a template name to the link — for example?demo_template=noir
Go ahead and try the RSVP form. Nothing is sent to anyone, and the sample is reset every day. A Best Wishes message you post is held for approval, so it will not appear on the page.
Need Something Different?
The templates and settings cover a lot, but every family is different. If you need something beyond the available template options, you can contact me to discuss a customised version.
